Est cuius notitia non est effabilis. Loquitur enim hîc de Caeli, Terrae et Oceani, ac Inferorum Domino, Imperatore, Rege, ut habet Glossa MS. apud Casp. Barthium Animadvers. adl. Sic ineffabile dicunt Iudaei nomen Dei proprium Gap desc: Hebrew qui proin cum iam olim per religionem primum, postmodum per superstitionem a pronuntiatione eius abstinuerint, perdita et incognita, aut saltem incerta multis, vera et genuina eius lectio videtur. Verum tempore Mosis nominis huius pronuntiationem, non solum in sacris usurpatam, sed et publice fuisse notam et pervulgatam, imo apud vicinas quoque gentes famam eius dimanâsse, discimus ex Numeror. c. 6. v. 24.
